Honeymoon in Oahu

There are many reasons why the Hawaiian Island of Oahu makes a wonderful place for a honeymoon. Between the beauty and fragrance of the tropical flowers, the clear blue waters of the ocean at the beaches, and the glorious sunsets, Oahu offers a tropical paradise that can provide just the right amount of romance. And, then, of course, there's Waikiki.

Waikiki Beach is one of the most famous and well-known beaches in the entire world, with luxurious hotels and beach clubs set right on the beach.  The famous Kalakaua Avenue, which runs parallel to the beach, offers you a shopper’s paradise with fine restaurants and nightly entertainment.

Waikiki Beach is also known for its gentle waves, ideal for beginner surfers.  You can rent surfboards and gear on the beach, even take lessons if you have never surfed before. Catamaran rides to and from Diamond Head are also offered by several different companies as well, with depart times varying.  Other activities on your honeymoon vacation include kayaking, swimming, and outrigger canoeing.

But, you're on your honeymoon, right? What honeymoon hotel is just right for you? Here are a few you may want to consider:

Do you want to be decadent on your honeymoon? Then stay at the luxurious Waikiki Edition. Okay, so how decadent is the Waikiki Edition? How about their Private Sunset Beach with its own lagoon and imported sand from neighboring Hawaiian Islands? Or, their restaurant, Morimoto Waikiki, headed by Chef Masaharu Morimoto of Iron Chef and Iron Chef America fame. Take in a couples' massage, or take in a movie while snuggling under the stars at their outdoor movie theater. You'd think the Waikiki Edition was designed specifically for honeymooning couples. You can check them out by going to their website at editionhotels.com.
